Sun, 14 May 2006 Happy Mother's Day Everyone! On today's show I talk about a bit about appreciating Mom and those who care for you. Not to mention a few announcements in the beginning of the show for all my listeners. Today's show includes "Lady" on the album Enchantress by Gypsy. Please feel free to check out her music, all my listeners know I like her style! The Main topic of this episode is Dreams and Dreaming. I discuss the differences between Prophetic Dreams as well as normal dreams. I don't bother delving into the Jung of it all however I do give some practical advice on keeping a record of your dreams and their meanings. I hope everyone has a great Mother's Day, and remembers to Honor The Goddess on this special day as well! Comments[14] |
Mon, 1 May 2006 Happy Beltaine everyone!! I hope everyone's enjoying this festive & colorful celebration of the "climax" of spring (^o~) Innuendos aside, this is one of the more distant sabbaths to my heart and yet the closest. May Day is Lei Day in Hawaii and a fun event all on it's own. I feature music from Emerald Rose with the track "Merry May Folk", and YES, I have been waiting all year to play that dang song! Gods know I love listening to it even out of season. I talk a little bit about what role Beltaine has for Pagans who aren't from a "seasons" country as well as identifying with what rings true for you. Either way have a fun and safe Beltaine. Also don't forget to check out the PPP roundtable discussion on Beltaine available on Shadowdance Podcast.Comments[12] |
Sat, 22 April 2006 Amongst many a tongue twist lies the overall theme: get out of the house and enjoy the oft warm weather!! In this episode I share my new plant finds, from my very own yard here in Japan. For images of the plants I talk about please visit here. It's in Japanese but the scientific names are written beside it in english. Also the initial music in the show is brought to you by Gypsy, with the track "We Want A World". I hope you get a few helpful hints about the plants I've found here in Japan, but if you are able to get out of the house or the office--even for a few minutes--then I've also done my job in promoting some fun in the sun! Thu, 13 April 2006 Hey there everyone! I hope you can join me for dinner as I share some of the thoughts that cross my mind as I eat. I've made three fried slices of spicy dough I made myself, as well as a shiitake mushroom, spinach, egg mix to go with it. Tastes better than it sounds! Or looks for that matter... haha. I talk about solidarity, the Pagan Community, and the sharing of energies. But most importantly I share my meal with you all, I hope you enjoy.
Also please don't forget to share a meal with someone that matters to you. Comments[9] |
Sun, 9 April 2006 Welcome back everyone! After many complications I'm BACK!! Today's show is first just about small talk and little tidbits into what's going on in my life as welll as PPP. I play two promos one created by Peter of the Crooked Path for Proud Pagan Podcasters, as well as Tahlea Moonwater's promo for her show Wiccalogoy at MerryMeet.org. No music this time but I do mention two books that I think my listeners might find relevant to today's show as well as their Pagan Lives. The first one is "Illusions" by Richard Bach, and the second is "Stranger In A Strange Land" by Robert A. Heinlein. Both books touch upon the subject of Life, Death & Rebirth.
In today's show I focus on what Karma, Dharma, and Reincarnation means. I delve a bit into what all three subject have to do with Hinduism, Neo-Paganism, as well as my own personal path. I talk about free will as well as a different look at what Karma means in relation to Rebirth. The Great Cycle we worship and what it means is left to my listeners to decide on their own. I'd also like to thank everyone for being patient with me, hopefully people wanting a new episode helped work some mojo on my broken sound editing program haha--WHATEVER WORKS! :-DComments[8] |
Fri, 31 March 2006 Yes I know what you're all thinking, "WTF?", haha ok maybe not that severe but I'm sure that attitude is pretty close. I got back from Thailand and my recording program for the show STOPPED WORKING. All weeping aside, it might be a while 'til I get the show back on it's feet. However, don't despair! I'm working hard to get this problem fixed. I hope all my listeners had time to get on the Frappr Map not to mention have a great Ostara with family and friends, I know the Pagan Kids out there should love that festival (^o^) Be safe everyone and have a great weekend, I'll be back before you kow it! Comments[6] |
Fri, 10 March 2006 You know what's funny? I wasn't supposed to have an episode on March 3rd but an episode on March 10th and 17th. However, I'm heading off to the Land of Smiles: THAILAND!! There will not be any shows for the 10th or the 17th but I am taking a digital recorder with me so be prepared to hear all about the trip. Also I'm taking along my trusty sidekick, Anita! (well actually she's taking me :-P) Wish me luck and I'll be back before you know it!
This should give everyone time to add themselves to the Frappr Map of Listeners or donate just a few bucks (Lord and Lady know I'm gonna be dirt poor after I get back...lol). And please remember every dollar is appreciated! REALLY Appreciated!!
Lady Bless,

Fri, 3 March 2006 Today's show focuses on the ethics of charms and creating them for others. I also discuss "Harm None" and what it means. The show also features Japan Pagan announcements like Lon Milo Duquette being in Tokyo for a public lecture, hosted by Nihil Lodge of OTO Japan. Not to mention also my own announcements about the "Veg Out" campaign and the Frapper on the site (feel free to add yourself to the map folks!). I also feature the song "Fire In The Head" by Emerald Rose, I love their music! As always if you have $0.02 to add then feel free to drop me a line or leave me a comment on the site. You'll also notice the PayPal Donate button, don't be afraid to give me even just $5, any donation helps to keep this podcast up and running--every donation is greatly appreciated!Comments[4] |
Fri, 24 February 2006 This is the last in the "Light in Love" series. Anita and Sumudu's interview is finally completed as we discuss sex and it's role or lack thereof in a healthy relationship. Later I go on to talk about sex in relation to being Pagan as well as relationships in general. Also I make an announcement about my "Veg Out" campaign from Feb. 22nd to March 22nd, where I find out just how difficult being a vegetarian or vegan can be in Japan. My meals and recipes along with photos will be posted on another site for those interested (you may also email me, of course ;-). I also speak breifly about a collection of literature for Military Pagans down at the Okinawan Air Force Base. The best part of the show is saved for last as this episode has the outtakes from our interview.
You might have noticed the map on the site, please feel free to add yourself. I'm really curious as to where all my listeners are coming from, not to mention the discussion boards available for those that sign up!Comments[6] |
Sun, 19 February 2006 This is the second installment of the "Light in Love" series containing the first half of the interview with Anita and Sumudu. The third part of this series will contain the last half of the interview and will be released on Feb. 24th as promised! I hope you are patient with the audio as this is my first "in the field" recording, not to mention that I used Anita's digital recorder! Sit back and enjoy the commentary. Also the music featured is "Magick" by Gypsy from the album Enchantress. Don't forget that you are welcome to give your thoughts on any episode by posting a comment or emailing me directly. The audio for this one is a bit soft during the interview but returns to louder good quality with the song--be advised! ;-)Comments[3] |
Fri, 17 February 2006 It has been a loooooong time since I put out a new episode! I hope everyone had a happy Imbolg with their family not to mention a *love*ly Valentines Day! In this episode I preview an interview that was too big to contain in just one podcast as well as talk about this episode's theme of "Light in Love" not to mention Cricket highlights. I cover the holidays I missed while bribing my listeners with Sugar Cookie recipes! So Sorry for the delay, it's been a bit hectic here. This show is also a THREE parter of the "Light in Love" series. Look for the second half containing the interview with my two friends Anita and Sumudu.
I hope you enjoy the discussions I bring up as well as the topics about sharing the L-O-V-E. Songs included in the show are "Pehla Nesha" by Bally Sagoo (from the Bollywood movie "Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar") and "Woh Pehli Baar" from the Bollywood movie "Pyaar Mein Kabhi Kabhi". Don't forget to spend this special time of the year with those you love.Comments[5] |
Fri, 13 January 2006 I'm leavin' the books behind for this special podcast all about Mugwort, Magickal Confections, & Will Power. As a special Friday the 13th show (dedicated to my Mom) I talk about how Japan has in some ways made me a better witch and how the power of one's will can change your life entirely--but only when it's the right time and place. This episode's herb is Mugwort but instead of relying solely on the books I usually reference, I reference *gasp* MYSELF! And in doing so delve into thoughts about circumstance and will, not to mention a brief preview on magickal confections.
One book I do showcase in this podcast is Herbal Remedies in Pots by Effie Romain & Sue Hawkey, a non-pagan creation but a wonderful resource nonetheless. I also wanted to take the time to thank not only PPP, my supporters, my family, but my listeners for all that they do for me, but more importantly what they do for each other and the Pagan Community.Comments[15] |
Thu, 29 December 2005 Whether in the Pagan Community or not people in general are bound to hit snags in their life. I'm joined in the episode by my friend Jonathan as we discuss his Agnostic/Universalist Unitarian/Whatevers view and begin to remember just how confusing and complicated religion can be. While this has more than a few dashes of humor it has a a very interesting and serious discussion at heart as to why some people when asked about their religion simply reply with "It's complicated."
Also I give a few announcements about the show as well as talk a little more about "Summer Pump" by Cagey House and "Two Witches" by Gypsy on the album Enchantress. And of course if you want to buy or check out these artists just click the link.
I hope everyone had a happy holidays and spent it with those you love. My next podcast won't be until next year--2006!! Have a happy New Year!!Comments[3] |
Thu, 8 December 2005 Arts and Crafts as well as kicking the sluggishness sometimes brought on by winter are discussed in this wintery podcast. Also I talk about the Internet and Pagans, mainly focusing on the growing sense that we as a Community are finally reaching out to one another. This episode features music from Len with "If You Steal My Sunshine, as well as music from an unknown artist. I felt bad about not knowing the artist for the other song however I do know that it was from a fund raising cd for Amnesty International so I put a plug for them as well. Also in reference to all my direct download listeners, I'm sorry that the file name is not as descript, the reason is that file management becomes horrendous. This is usually why I reccomend iTunes, it automatically updates and maintains any podcast that you subscribe to as well as giving you a full description of the theme of the episode itself. All said and done, I hope you enjoy~! Comments[5] |
